The company is world-class in designing and manufacturing electromagnetic shielding materials, thermal interface materials, and wireless antenna products. Most of the factory workshops are instruments with high precision requirements. The earthwork of the building was backfilled manually when it was constructed. And the backfill wasn`t well compacted during the construction process. Since the building was completed, large areas of settlement under the workshop foundation have occurred to varying degrees, with a settlement range of 50 mm- 130 mm, which have affected the daily use of production equipment. The customer got in touch with Geobear and hoped that Geobear could repair the ground without moving the equipment. The elevation in the area can return to a standard value to meet the daily use needs.
Geobear technicians conducted on-site testing. Combining with the drawing provided by the customer and the geotechnical report, Geobear experts found that the situation is very complicated. There are many pieces of equipment in the problem area. It is hard that no much space is left for construction work.
After careful consideration and research by the Geobear team, the solution that geopolymers for lifting and repairing to reduce the possibility of subsequent settlement. Drill holes at intervals of 1.5 meters in the repair area and inject geopolymers to ensure that the polymers are solidified and connected as a whole part.
After the project completing, Geobear provided a horizontal elevation measurement report that the flatness of the repaired floor meet the expectations. Meanwhile, there was no extra maintenance period, and no need to redo the concrete floor on the site which was protected well. Geobear Solution saved a lot of operating costs.
