On December 10, 2021 (Friday) from 09:00 to 12:00 Beijing time, Business Finland, the Finnish National Agency for Commerce, in collaboration with other members of Team Finland (Geobear), will co-host the Shanghai-Finland Sustainable Construction Technology Exchange Conference in conjunction with the Shanghai Society for Architecture.
As the Chinese government continues to release more specific strategies and goals to achieve the vision of peaking carbon emissions and carbon neutrality, there is an increasing demand for sustainable construction and building solutions. In November 2021, the Shanghai Housing and Urban-Rural Development Commission released the 'Shanghai Green Building 14th Five-Year Plan.' According to this plan, Shanghai will implement a total of more than 5 million square meters of ultra-low energy consumption building demonstration projects, establish a carbon emissions-related standard system for buildings, explore market mechanisms for carbon trading in the construction sector, and aim to control the carbon emissions in the construction sector to around 45 million tons by 2025.
Finland has world-leading solutions in the field of sustainable construction, and we will showcase Finnish technical solutions to building and engineering experts in Shanghai during this exchange. The seminar will invite professionals from major architectural design institutes and development enterprises in Shanghai, providing Finnish companies an opportunity to introduce and discuss their solutions.
Target Participants:
This conference primarily targets foreign-funded enterprises already engaged in sustainable construction in China. Business areas include engineering solutions, HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning), building energy efficiency, sustainable building materials, and wood structure technology.
The participation in the event is free of charge, and we welcome all interested participants to complete the registration by December 3, 2021. Copy the link below into your browser to access the registration page.
